LM Manufacturing, LLC is a Tier 1 automotive supplier focused on seating systems for Ford. The Buyer – Indirect Procurement & Capital leads competitive sourcing, contract management, and financial analysis of indirect spend and capital investments for the Detroit-area facility.

The role partners with engineering, maintenance, operations, and finance to optimize spend, drive cost reductions, and ensure strong supplier performance through data-driven sourcing decisions and robust controls.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
3–5 years of purchasing, procurement, or sourcing experience preferred.
Strong financial analysis, negotiation, and supplier evaluation skills.
Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.

Responsabilités

Lead indirect and capital sourcing, including RFQs, bids, and negotiations.
Develop bid analyses and sourcing recommendations for senior leadership.
Create and manage supplier contracts, terms, and performance tracking.
Conduct cost analyses, ROI, and total-cost of ownership assessments.
Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and Finance to define requirements.
Maintain procurement KPIs and drive cost-reduction initiatives (target ~15–20%).
