JOB OVERVIEWResponsible for direct sourcing and procurement of raw materials, components, supplies and services within a manufacturing environment. While working closely with internal departments including production planning, finance and logistics to ensure product sourcing, on-time deliveries and resolution of variances and supplier issues.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESStrategic sourcing, purchasing and maintaining of raw materials and stock itemsOverseeing special projects including government contracts as assignedCollaborate with internal departments including production, finance and logistics to ensure on-time delivery and project deadlinesSupport the development of long-term relationships with company approved vendorsParticipate in supplier negotiations and contract reviewAnalyze supplier lead times, minimum order quantities and make recommendations for cost efficienciesGenerate purchasing orders and update supplier pricingParticipate in supplier scorecard evaluations, feedback and corrective action conversationsOther duties as assignedPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
