Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking a Buyer/Planner III to optimize material flow and manage tactical sourcing for designated product lines. You will collaborate with business-unit leadership and sourcing teams to support the company’s financial plan and strategic goals.

You will develop plans, place purchase orders, manage supplier relationships, and maintain inventory levels to ensure timely delivery and production continuity. Strong ERP experience and cost-saving focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years purchasing experience; planning and assembly operations experience preferred.
• Prior manufacturing ERP experience required.

Responsibilities

• Develop plans and execute purchase orders based on tactical parameters (supplier choice, price, delivery terms).
• Manage purchase order lifecycle from creation to follow-through with vendors.
• Maintain reorder points and lot sizes for manufactured and purchased components.
• Negotiate pricing and execute purchase orders and agreements with suppliers.
• Place orders from approved suppliers, verify pricing, quantities, availability and delivery dates.
• Respond to expedite requests and quote lead times to customer service.
• Provide machining and assembly schedules to production daily and coordinate overtime as needed.
• Review backlog and drive actions to reduce past-due orders with partners.
• Follow strategic sourcing strategies and alert if suppliers miss commitments.
• Manage incoming material flow and optimize inventory levels.
