Job summary

Moog is seeking a Buyer/Planner to source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms for Johnson City, TN operations. You will analyze market trends, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage inventory to meet production needs.

The role requires a background in procurement, planning, or inventory management within manufacturing, with strong negotiation and data interpretation skills. Onsite work in Johnson City, TN is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years procurement/supply chain experience, or associate with 9 years, or high school diploma/equivalent with 13 years of related experience.
• Proven experience in planning, procurement, or inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and market trends.
• Familiarity with procurement software or ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure best pricing and terms.
• Analyze market trends to make data-driven purchasing decisions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure inventory meets operational needs.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and oversee contract management.
• Ensure cost-effectiveness and quality in all purchasing activities.
• Review MRP requirements and inventory on hand balances; use ERP to manage inventory.
