Job summary

Moog Inc. in Sunnyvale, CA seeks a Sr. Buyer/Planner to own purchasing and material planning for high‑mix, low‑volume aerospace programs. You will convert approved demand into executable plans, manage supplier commitments, and provide accurate material status to cross‑functional teams.

The role requires ERP/MRP fluency, supplier negotiations, and clear recovery planning. It’s a hands‑on individual contributor role with interaction across production and supply base in an on‑site setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Analytics, Engineering, or related field with 5+ years procurement/planning experience; OR an associate degree with 8+ years experience.
• Experience using an ERP/MRP system to manage demand, POs, inventory, and planning parameters.
• Knowledge of RFQs, price analysis, supplier performance management, and negotiations.
• Ability to read BOMs, drawings, revisions, and quality or contractual requirements.
• Strong Excel skills and data communication.

Responsibilities

• Material planning and schedule execution based on program demand, BOMs, inventory, and capacity.
• Maintain ERP/MRP planning parameters and dates for parts and suppliers.
• Convert demand into POs, POs, work orders, and kit requests per processes.
• Provide material status, shortages, line-of-balance, and build readiness reporting.
• Expedite, de-expedite, reschedule, or cancel supply to protect schedules.
