Moog Inc. in Johnson City, TN, is seeking a Buyer/Planner to join Moog Space and Defense Group. This onsite role reports to the Site Manager and focuses on procurement, planning, and inventory management in a manufacturing setting.

You will source suppliers, analyze market trends, and collaborate with internal teams to meet operational needs. A background in procurement, strong negotiation, and ERP familiarity are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years procurement/SC experience or an associate’s degree with 9 years procurement/SC experience or high school diploma/equivalent with 13 years of related experience.
• Proven experience in planning, procurement, or inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with an ability to interpret data and market trends.
• Familiarity with procurement software or ERP systems.

Responsabilités

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing and terms.
• Analyze market trends to make data‑driven purchasing decisions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure inventory meets operational needs.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and oversee contract management.
• Ensure cost‑effectiveness and quality in all purchasing activities.
• Review MRP requirements and inventory on hand balances to ensure material availability.
• You will also use ERP computer system to manage inventory requirements.
• Review and understand blueprints, material specifications and engineering specifications.
• Log & Manage Sales Purchase Orders and LRP inventories.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support business operations.
