Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC is hiring a Buyer to act as the day-to-day procurement execution partner for plant and regional Operations. You will manage approved global/ regional category strategies, ensure material availability, and maintain P2P discipline across sourcing, contracts, and supplier management.

Requirements include 2+ years in purchasing or supply chain, Excel proficiency, and ERP/D365 experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in any major; bachelor’s in supply chain/business preferred.
• 2+ years of purchasing, materials, supply chain, or manufacturing customer-service experience.
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP purchasing processes; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience preferred.
• Ability to analyze supplier delivery, open orders, inventory and cost data; communicate escalations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary purchasing execution partner for designated facilities and Operations leadership; understand production schedules and working capital effects.
• Execute sourcing strategies, negotiated contracts, approved supplier lists, pricing, and specifications; escalate exceptions and market intelligence.
• Collaborate daily with Operations, Planning, Inventory, Quality, Finance/AP and Category Management; maintain escalation paths and decision rights.
• Procure-to-pay discipline: convert approved demand into purchase orders; confirm terms and monitor open orders through receipt and closure.
• Contract and policy compliance: use approved suppliers and terms; flag off-contract pricing and mavetick spend for resolution.
• Supplier execution and escalation: secure acknowledgments, expedite material, resolve shortages, coordinate recovery plans.
