Job summary

Henderson Group Recruiting is seeking a Buyer to handle day-to-day procurement for plant operations. You will execute approved global and regional category strategies, maintain contract compliance, and ensure material availability at the right cost, quality, and delivery performance.

The role requires 2+ years in purchasing or related fields, proficiency in Excel and ERP processes, and experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s in supply chain or related field preferred.
Minimum 2+ years in purchasing, materials, supply chain or customer service.
Proficient in Excel; familiarity with ERP purchasing processes; Dynamics 365 preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary purchasing execution partner for designated facilities and Ops leadership.
Execute sourcing strategies, contracts, pricing, specs; escalate exceptions as needed.
Collaborate daily with Operations, Planning, Inventory, Quality, Finance and Category Mgmt.
Convert demand into accurate, timely purchase orders; manage open orders to closure.
Ensure contract compliance; flag maverick spend and off-contract pricing.
Secure order acknowledgements, manage delivery promises, and resolve shortages.
Review demand, lead times, safety stock; target inventory days while preserving service.
Maintain supplier performance data and support corrective actions with teams.
