Job summary

Vogrinc Search Group is seeking a Buyer in the United States to drive day-to-day procurement execution for plant and regional Operations. You will support global and regional category strategies, maintain contract and purchasing compliance, and ensure material and service availability at target cost and quality.

The role focuses on procure-to-pay discipline, supplier follow-through, shortage resolution, and data integrity in ERP systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; bachelor’s preferred in supply chain, business, purchasing, or related field.
• 2+ years in purchasing, materials, supply chain or manufacturing customer-service.
• Proficient in Excel; Dynamics 365 experience preferred.
• Able to analyze supplier delivery, open orders, inventory and cost data; communicate escalations clearly.
• Strong ethics, ownership, attention to detail, service mindset, collaboration across plants.

Responsibilities

• Primary purchasing execution partner for designated facilities; understand schedules and working capital impact.
• Execute sourcing strategies, contracts, pricing, and specs; escalate exceptions.
• Collaborate daily with Operations, Planning, Inventory, Quality, Finance/AP, and Category Management.
• Procure-to-pay discipline: convert demand into purchase orders; confirm pricing, terms, quantities, delivery dates; close orders.
• Ensure contract and policy compliance; flag maverick spend and off-contract pricing for resolution.
• Manage supplier performance; expedite critical material and resolve shortages; coordinate recovery plans.
