Job summary

Rantec Power Systems Inc. in Los Osos, California, is seeking a Buyer to manage materials for development and production. You will quote, negotiate, place and monitor orders with suppliers, and help identify alternate sources to achieve lowest total cost.

Responsibilities include planning with MRP systems, maintaining material availability, and interfacing with multiple departments to support proposals and schedules while complying with ITAR requirements and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• BS degree or related degree preferred.
• 3 years procurement experience preferred.
• Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and related reports a plus.
• Ability to read and extract relevant information from engineering drawings.
• Ability to successfully execute duties under pressure from deadlines.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan andProcure Materials Using MRP System and generate purchase orders.
• Maintain Material Availability Information and notify about supply issues.
• Interface with suppliers, negotiate lead-times, price and delivery.
• Support supplier quality and corrective actions.
• Obtain material availability and pricing for new products.
• Interface with various departments to support operations and proposals.
• Work flexible hours if needed and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Arrive on time and perform duties as scheduled.
