Job summary

Spectrum Plastics Group in Sandy, UT is seeking an Experienced procurement professional to support timely and cost-efficient sourcing of materials, components, and services required to meet production, quality, and customer commitments.

You will create and maintain purchase orders, monitor open orders, expedite overdue shipments, coordinate with suppliers, and keep ERP item master data accurate, while collaborating with Receiving, Quality, Warehouse and Production teams.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of one year in purchasing, procurement, planning, inventory control, or related experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain purchase orders for production materials, components, and services.
• Monitor open purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Expedite overdue orders and resolve shipping, receiving, and invoice discrepancies.
• Support production schedules by ensuring timely material availability.
• Assist with inventory management, including monitoring safety stock levels and replenishment needs.
• Collaborate with Receiving, Quality, Warehouse, and Production teams to resolve material and documentation issues.
• Support Engineering and R&D by sourcing prototype, development, and validation materials.
• Maintain accurate purchasing, supplier, and material records within the ERP system.
• Create and update item master data, specifications, and purchasing information as required.
• Support new product introductions by implementing new items and BOMs within ERP systems.
• Comply with SOPs, quality system requirements, and company policies.
