Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated, with its Switching and Fusing location in Leeds, AL, is seeking a Buyer to procure raw materials, support production schedules, and maintain inventory performance. Qualifications

3+ years of purchasing/procurement/materials or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with MRP systems; SAP preferred.
Knowledge of purchasing, inventory management, supplier management, and material flow processes.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong supplier and internal relationships.

Responsibilities

Manage supplier relationships, purchase orders, and order expediting activities.
Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Resolve shortages, quality concerns, and delivery issues with suppliers.
Support supplier reviews, performance metrics, and corrective action activities.
Collaborate with sourcing and leadership on supplier risks, capacity concerns, and sourcing opportunities.
Execute purchasing activities to support production requirements and customer demand.
