Job summary

New Flyer, North America's heavy-duty transit bus leader, is hiring a Buyer to execute the material supply plan and support production needs. You will communicate with suppliers, ensure timely documentation, and collaborate with internal teams to optimize procurement across our Mosaic facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, industrial engineering, or equivalent.
• 3 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong knowledge of MRP and inventory management practices.
• Excellent time management with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Innovative problem solver with ability to develop workable solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain professional relationships.
• SCM designation is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Execute Oracle transactions accurately to maintain data integrity and meet targets.
• Develop and sustain professional relationships with suppliers and customers.
• Maintain supplier communication to ensure information is current to support the business plan.
• Resolve supply-related issues with suppliers.
• Submit engineering documentation to suppliers on a timely basis and support first article documentation requirements.
• Support traffic personnel in securing required documentation for secure shipment of goods to our facilities.
