Job summary

Syntegon Packaging Technology, LLC in New Richmond, Wisconsin is seeking a Buyer responsible for machine and parts procurement, analyzing cost, quality, and delivery. You will ensure supplier performance through procurement planning and status tracking.

Key duties include issuing POs, SAP updates, RFQs, BOMs, and reporting supplier metrics. Qualifications include a business degree or equivalent experience and 3+ years in supply chain/manufacturing. SAP experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent value in work experience.
• 3+ years in supply chain and/or manufacturing related environment.
• Experience with SAP in manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders to suppliers per system requirements and negotiated pricing per contracts and benchmarked quoting.
• Manage procurement tasks including order acknowledgements, SAP system updates, RFQ's, BOM's, and print packages for large projects.
• Track and report on supplier performance metrics including on-time delivery, late orders, and expedite requests.
• Review invoices for discrepancies and coordinate resolution with suppliers and accounting.
• Manage quality defect issues, supplier returns, and credits in coordination with PUQ.
• Identify and implement cost savings opportunities for catalog and drawing parts in collaboration with Central Purchasing and strategic partners.
