Job summary

UNISIG in Menomonee Falls, WI seeks a Manufacturing Buyer to manage purchase orders, vendor relations, and ERP data for machining and assembly teams. You will source components, monitor lead times, and drive cost-saving initiatives.

Ideal candidates have an Associate's degree and at least two years of purchasing in manufacturing; proficiency with Excel/Outlook/Word and ERP/MRP systems (Syteline preferred) is required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in supply chain, business or related field.
• Minimum two years of purchasing experience in manufacturing environment, precision machining or capital equipment exposure preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
• Understanding of ERP/MRP systems; Syteline experience preferred.
• Experience reading/interpreting CAD files preferred.

Responsibilities

• Issue, revise, and track purchase orders for routine and complex requirements balancing quality, price and delivery.
• Work with vendors and build positive partner relationships.
• Collaborate cross-departmentally with engineering and production planning to prioritize delivery needs.
• Expedite and coordinate material or service delivery; communicate supply issues affecting schedule.
• Source components and vendors based on engineering needs and market trends; research alternatives when needed.
• Enter and monitor ERP data to ensure accuracy.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and procurement process improvements.
