Job summary

Jered, a PAR Systems Company, is seeking a Buyer II to source materials and services for naval and maritime systems. You will negotiate pricing, manage supplier relationships, and ensure on-time delivery to keep production on schedule.

In this fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will interpret engineering drawings and BOMs, analyze costs, and support subcontract procurement. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 2–4 years purchasing/procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience sourcing materials and identifying alternative suppliers.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel.
• Experience with an ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure materials and services supporting production of engineered systems.
• Negotiate pricing and lead times; manage supplier relationships.
• Analyze costs and ensure on-time delivery to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Interpret engineering documentation and BOMs to support procurement.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to balance cost, quality, and delivery.
