Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking an Operational Buyer in Charlotte to execute procurement strategies and support factories globally. You will focus on tactical execution, expediting, strategic negotiations, and supplier performance management.

The role requires 3–4 years in direct purchasing, SAP Buy experience, and strong Excel analysis; you will partner with global teams to drive cost efficiency and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of experience in direct purchasing or related supply chain roles.
• Experience in manufacturing or power generation environments.
• Proficiency with SAP procurement Buy modules and advanced Excel data analysis.
• Ability to communicate across cultures and drive results.
• Legal work authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with global/local commodity management and planning teams to optimize procurement planning and execution.
• Manage sourcing activities: RFx, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and supplier selection.
• Oversee purchase order lifecycle with timely execution and supplier performance.
• Implement procurement strategies including pricing, vendor onboarding, lead times, and budget monitoring.
• Coordinate with suppliers and stakeholders on technical, contractual, logistics, and claims matters.
• Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and data quality to meet KPIs.
