Job summary

Elbit Systems of America, LLC is seeking a Senior Buyer to evaluate requisitions for nonstandard items, coordinate with technical personnel, and identify best sources of supply. You will help reduce component pricing and support cost reduction with preferred suppliers, in alignment with the program schedule and future orders.

The role requires strong knowledge of federal procurement regulations, aerospace/defense experience, and capability to negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5–7 years of experience.
• 5+ years of industry experience preferred.
• Experience in aerospace, military, or similar industry is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead component purchasing to meet schedule and delivery dates.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions with suppliers.
• Manage VMI program and control demand signals.
• Place POs to support program schedule and inventory goals.
• Ensure specifications and regulations are included in purchasing agreements.
• Coordinate with Finance, Legal and other departments as needed.
