Job summary

Maybell Quantum in Denver seeks a Buyer to keep material flowing to the production floor. You’ll own purchase orders from sourcing to delivery for cryogenic hardware, working with Production, Planning, Engineering, and Quality to ensure on-time, cost-effective supply.

The role requires 1–4 years of buying experience in manufacturing, ERP/MRP proficiency, and strong communication. Competitive compensation, equity, and comprehensive benefits are offered as the company scales.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience as a buyer or material planner in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience placing and managing purchase orders in an ERP/MRP system.
• Knowledge of lead times, MOQs, reorder points, and PO terms.
• Strong follow-through and direct communication with suppliers and internal teams.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage many open orders and shifting priorities.
• Proficiency in Excel for tracking orders and supplier performance.
• Experience buying machined, sheet metal, vacuum, electrical components is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Place, manage, and negotiate purchase orders aligned to build schedules.
• Run RFQs, verify pricing, and recommend supplier awards.
• Secure commit dates, update ERP, and flag risks early.
• Process PO changes, reschedules, and cancellations with accurate data.
• Resolve invoice, receiving, and pricing discrepancies.
• Own supplier onboarding and ensure on-time delivery with recovery options.
• Maintain supplier performance metrics and scorecards.
• Support material planning and forecasting, including shortage tracking.
