Job summary

Weiss Technik North America, Inc. in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Buyer to manage inventory control, vendor relations, price negotiations, and Purchase Order processing. This exempt, full-time role reports to the Materials and Supply Chain Manager in the Supply Chain department.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of purchasing experience, strong communication skills, and ERP exposure (SAP preferred). You will support multiple departments, enter POs, and track confirmations to achieve cost savings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; related field.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma.
• 3+ years purchasing experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• ERP experience with SAP preferred.
• Vendor relations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter purchase orders and track confirmations.
• Obtain quotes, expedite, and document major pricing discrepancies.
• Assist Receiving Dept with discrepancies and PO info requests.
• Assist other Purchasing team members as needed.
• Maintain inventory control and focus on cost savings.
• Update source lists and info records as requested.
