Job summary

Weasler Engineering in West Bend, WI is seeking a Senior Buyer to develop and execute purchasing strategies across global suppliers, ensuring reliable material supply for the manufacturing plan. You will work with supplier, manufacturing, quality, and commercial teams, drive process improvements, and optimize inventory to meet customer needs while controlling costs.

A 5+ year background in purchasing, a bachelor’s degree, and ERP/MRP and Excel skills are required or considered; APICS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; 5+ years in purchasing or related roles.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• APICS or similar training/certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute tactical buying processes to manage a global supply chain.
• Communicate with suppliers, manufacturing, quality and commercial teams.
• Identify new materials, suppliers and processes with SC to improve quality and cost.
• Support crisis management and root-cause analysis.
• Facilitate supplier status reviews for purchase orders and outages.
• Develop inventory optimization processes to ensure on-time delivery while minimizing costs.
• Identify PPV and inventory opportunities and manage PPV projects.
• Build strong relationships with all management levels.
• Support safety rules and KPIs; contribute to plant metrics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
