Your Job

Flint Hills Resources (FHR) is currently seeking a Strategic Buyer to join our Procurement team!

Our Team

The Strategic Buyer will report to a Procurement Operations Supervisor, and be based at our headquarters in Wichita, KS. This role will require the ability to travel 10-15% of the time.

What You Will Do

• Partner with the procurement team to support internal and external customers
• Analysis and processing of purchase orders
• Purchase order and invoice exception review
• Collaborate with vendors for long lead items
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors through verbal and written communication
• Participate in both Simple and Tactical Sourcing
• RFP support and analysis
• Perform minimal contracting tasks
• Contribute to a strong team environment with individual and team goals

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree OR minimum of 1 year experience working in a professional environment
• Must be available for on-call rotations including nights, weekends, and holidays

What Will Put You Ahead

• 1+ years of experience processing procurement transactions
• Experience working in a customer service role
• 1+ years of working experience with Microsoft Office 365 Products, including Word, Excel, Teams, PowerBI, etc.
