Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will support the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of procurement activities as per approved procedures. You will execute assigned activities based on standard procedures. The work model for this role is remote. This position contributes to the Process Automation Process Industries division. Your main responsibilities include:

• Sourcing as required to meet customer requirements, working with challenging suppliers to maintain agreed terms and deliveries.
• Collaborating with various types of suppliers and handling different requests needed by the business.
• Working closely with suppliers to ensure proper invoicing procedures are followed, resolving invoicing discrepancies, and promoting proper payments. Engaging relevant functions such as Accounts Payable, Goods Receipt, Controllers, Suppliers, and Project teams.
• Staying updated on all ABB procurement systems and tools. Playing a proactive role in problem prevention and resolution during project execution. Serving as the procurement expert for your project teams.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, purchasing, or operations; or a high school diploma with 9+ years of experience in supply management.
• Sound knowledge of procurement processes.
• Negotiation skills.
• Good understanding of contract management.
• Wide-ranging knowledge of supplier management and relationships.
• Strong project management and communication skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
• Experience working in international environments and managing stakeholders at various management levels.
