Job summary

Hilton Bellevue in Bellevue, WA seeks a Business Travel and New Business Development Sales Manager to drive the hotel’s travel market. This role develops new customer relationships and manages existing accounts to maximize room revenue.

You will travel to meet clients, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with revenue management and operations to deliver proposals and competitive rates across national accounts. The position is full-time and on-site.

Qualifications

• 1+ years hotel sales experience required.
• 1+ year of hotel business travel experience preferred.
• Strong organization, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve independently.
• A solid understanding of overall hotel operations.
• Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to use several different computer programs, including Microsoft Office and Delphi.

Responsibilities

• Travel primarily outside the hotel to initiate new sales, solicit leads, hold conferences, and make sales proposals and presentations
• Host and entertain clients and maintain client accounts
• Develop sales strategies to meet or exceed established revenue and room night goals
• Represent hotel by soliciting, responding to, and negotiating business travel rates on contracts
• Negotiate contracts with customers and commission agreements with third party agencies
• Engage in outside sales activities to discuss business opportunities and entertain customers in local and national assigned markets
• Promote negotiated rates to all accounts.
• Work closely with revenue management team with the preparations of proposals and contracts to all prospective customers
• Attend weekly sales departmental meetings and other scheduled meetings to support business operations
• Respond to sales inquiries from potential clients
• Initiate new sales prospects, qualify leads, and solicit potential clients
• Conduct property site visits and answer questions
• Determine rates, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, service accounts and analyze lost business
• Partner with operations departments to ensure full participation in servicing accounts
