Job summary

M&T Bank in Buffalo, NY seeks a Business Systems Analyst to translate business objectives into technical requirements and drive delivery of digital initiatives. You will lead requirements gathering, create BRs and user stories, support SIT/UAT, and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and stakeholders to ensure business outcomes align with strategic goals.

A strong background in SDLC/Agile and SQL reporting is preferred; a Bachelor's degree is expected.

Qualifications

8+ years combined higher education and/or operational/business analytics/systems development experience
Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and software delivery methodologies
Experience with requirements elicitation and stakeholder management
Experience supporting SIT and UAT testing
Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

Lead requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and stakeholder workshops.
Create business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, and user stories.
Partner with Product Owners, Engineering, and business stakeholders to define and align on business outcomes.
Support Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and UAT activities.
Lead and coordinate SIT and UAT testing efforts.
Perform data analysis and validation to support business decisions and solution design.
Identify process improvements and recommend technology solutions.
Track requirements through the full SDLC lifecycle to ensure successful delivery.
