• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and stakeholder workshops.
• Create business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, and user stories.
• Partner with Product Owners, Engineering, and stakeholders to define outcomes.
• Support Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and UAT.
• Lead SIT and UAT testing efforts.
• Perform data analysis to support decisions and solution design.
• Identify process improvements and recommend technology solutions.
• Track requirements through full SDLC to ensure delivery.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, driving requirements, analysis, testing, and delivery of strategic digital initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, SDLC knowledge, and the ability to translate business objectives into actionable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and stakeholder workshops.
• Create business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, and user stories.
• Partner with Product Owners, Engineering, and business stakeholders to define and align on business outcomes.
• Support Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and UAT activities.
• Lead and coordinate SIT and UAT testing efforts.
• Perform data analysis and validation to support business decisions and solution design.
• Identify process improvements and recommend technology solutions.
• Track requirements through the full SDLC lifecycle to ensure successful delivery.

Education and Experience Required

• Combined minimum of 8 years' combined higher education and/or operational/business analytics/systems development experience
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and software delivery methodologies.
• Experience with requirements elicitation and stakeholder management.
• Experience supporting SIT and UAT testing.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education and Experience Preferred

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience in Digital Banking or Financial Services.
• Experience with SQL, data analysis, and reporting tools.
• Product Owner or Agile delivery experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise modernization initiatives.

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $103,000.00 - $171,600.00 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
