Job summary

Campfire is seeking a strategic, hands-on operator to own the business behind the business. You will tackle high-stakes problems, turning messy processes into self-running systems and collaborating with every team across the company.

You will define metrics, own ARR and bookings reporting, manage contracts, lead GTM operations, and drive automation with AI and tooling. You’ll report to leadership and help scale a fast-growing finance-focused organization.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years in business operations, top-tier consulting, banking, VC or PE, or founding a startup.
• Analytical to the core; can build models and tell the story behind the numbers.
• AI-native in how you work; use tools to automate and optimize.
• Commercially sharp; able to read contracts and negotiate.
• Clear communicator; explain messy problems to leadership and cross-functional partners.
• Relentless follow-through; closures and commitments are kept.
• Comfortable with ambiguity; will define new roles and processes as needed.

Responsibilities

• Own the operating rhythm: planning, goal-setting, and metrics cadence across the company.
• Define and report core metrics (ARR, pipeline, bookings, retention, spend) and provide answers from data.
• Lead vendor negotiations and contract lifecycle with legal, avoiding unnecessary renewals.
• Own CRM configuration, territory and quota planning, and sales compensation mechanics.
• Oversee company infrastructure: insurance, office, real estate, compliance, systems.
• Lead special projects like new market launches and monetization initiatives with pricing.
• Automate processes with code, AI, and the right tools to scale without adding headcount.
