Job summary

Tris Pharma, Inc. in Monmouth Junction, NJ, is seeking a Senior Manager, Business Development to evaluate acquisition, in-licensing and out-licensing opportunities and drive cross-functional deal processes.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree (MBA/MD preferred), at least 2 years in pharma BD or related advisory, strong financial modeling and executive communication, and willingness to travel; the position offers hybrid work and a competitive salary range of $155–$185K plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or life sciences; MBA/MD preferred.
• Minimum 2 years BD experience in a pharmaceutical company or related field (banking/VC/consulting).
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling.
• Ability to explain complex concepts to executive audiences.
• Willingness to travel overnight/internationally as required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate in-license/MA opportunities and advise senior management.
• Lead out-licensing, outreach, due diligence, and negotiations.
• Prepare robust financial models and scenario analyses.
• Create concise presentations for BD projects for management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Research, Regulatory, Legal, Sales, and Marketing teams.
• Maintain expertise in data sources used in business development.
