The role interacts with senior executives and external partners, requiring strong financial modeling and cross-functional collaboration.

The position is hybrid, with local NJ office work expected most weeks. The anticipated salary range is $155k–$185k per year, depending on education and experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or life sciences; MBA/MD preferred.
• Minimum 2 years BD experience in pharma or related field.
• Ability to explain complex concepts to executives.
• Strong financial modeling and corporate finance knowledge.
• Willingness to travel overnight or internationally.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate in-license/ M&A opportunities and synthesize recommendations.
• Lead out-licensing and capital-raising processes with deal structuring and negotiations.
• Prepare and present robust financial models and scenarios.
• Prepare concise presentations for senior management and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Research, Regulatory, Legal and Commercial teams.
• Develop expertise in relevant BD data sources.
