The Strategic Business Development Director for Channel Services will involve developing new commercial opportunities and forming new partnerships using a consultative sales approach. The role will be responsible for proactively developing and implementing a sales strategy by creating and sustaining strategic relationships/alliances with Strategic Accounts. This position is responsible for customer relationship development and conducting sales calls leading to contract. This position is a business building opportunity, and the successful candidate should be excited and eager to grow a business. The Strategic Business Development Director represents TRIMEDX and acts as a primary customer point of contact to our prospective customers. This role will provide on-going feedback to management, product teams, and marketing. This position models the TRIMEDX Core Values and develops a work culture of high performance, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Candidates must have strong knowledge of Clinical Engineering & Medical Device management.

Location: Eastern or Central Time Zone; with close proximity to a major airport. Our Central Office is located on the northwest side of Indianapolis. Position requires up to 50% travel to meetings & client hospital sites. Relocation is not available for this position Immigration sponsorship not available for this position

Responsibilities
  • Customer Relationships –50% Define target markets, build strategic market penetration plans and create account plans for targets
  • Utilize marketing campaigns, tradeshow contacts, and call plans to develop relationships with chief officers and appropriate department heads.
  • Research market trends and critical information for respective territory.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through consistent high quality interactions with customer management.
  • Build long term strategic alliance with portfolio of accounts to continue to add value, and promote service offerings to identify and escape commercial service.
  • Build wide and effective network of contacts inside and outside the organization.
  • Negotiate and Close Business Opportunities – 30% Utilize sales process to define customer needs, forecast sales, and define financial consequences as the basis for pursuing opportunities
  • Create opportunity qualification documentation
  • Demonstrate sales cycle control
  • Collaborate and drive the creation of solution-based proposals
  • Schedule and deliver proposals
  • Makes presentations and undertakes public speaking with skill and confidence
  • Utilize closing and negotiating techniques
  • Responds quickly to the needs of an external buying committee
  • Leadership, coaching, and development- 20% Coordinate responsibilities, resources, project objectives, and performance
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and resources to inspire strong customer service, technical expertise, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Provide leadership and role modeling through community involvement and a commitment to living out the company’s core values
  • Develop job knowledge and expertise through continual professional development
  • Share expertise and knowledge with others
  • All other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience
  • 10 years of business experience
  • 5+ years of business development or account management experience
  • Excited and passionate about growing a business
  • Knowledge of Clinical Engineering & Medical Device management is preferred
  • Ability to develop and manage robust pipeline; control sales cycle
  • Notable achievements in creating opportunities and closing significant revenue generating sales
  • Proven business development and project planning skills
  • Outstanding influencing, interpersonal and networking skills to drive collaborative culture at all levels
  • High level presentation skills; able to present ideas to customers in a way that produces understanding and impact
  • Experience closing large, complex, strategic deals
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentational skills required
  • Strong customer focus
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, frequent travel both local and overnight.

Bachelors degree in business, healthcare management, business, or a related field or equivalent experience required MBA preferred #LI-Hybrid
