Job summary

Trimedx is seeking a Senior Development Operations Engineer who supports Software Engineering and Technology Operations. You will help implement new solutions and maintain stable, scalable environments across multiple applications.

The role involves automation, CI/CD, release management, and working with site reliability engineering practices to ensure fast, reliable software delivery. Your work will include building automation, supporting deployment pipelines, and collaborating with development

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years in DevOps related functions.
  • 4+ years experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Education: Associates degree required; bachelor’s preferred; MIS/CS or related field recommended.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in supporting and improving tools for CI, automated performance testing and release management.
  • Assist in developing scripts to automate DevOps functions.
  • Build systems automation and provisioning frameworks for single applications/environments.
  • Support code/configuration management and release branches using CI/CD tools.
  • Collaborate with development teams to analyze or resolve application issues.

The Senior Development Operations Engineer supports Software Engineering and Technology Operations in the implementation of new solutions and ensuring stable and scalable environments. Supports and may lead initiatives including multiple applications and environments. Demonstrates knowledge of solutions within multiple environments. Dev ops recognizes the interdependence of software development and technology operations and helps the organization produce software and technology services more rapidly, with frequent iterations, with as much automation as possible to provide service and support for rapid development and certification. Manages and monitors the different environments, which take part in the SDLC for the new software to be able to make it to production. Cross functional team managing functionalities of Release Engineering, Release Management, Performance Engineering, Configuration Management as well as Site Reliability Engineering. Essential job function of this team is to assist Applications & Software Engineering with all the non-development technology functionality that is needed to roll out new solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in supporting and improving tools for continuous integration, automated performance and stress testing & release management.
  • Assist in developing scripts to automate Dev ops functions.
  • Participate in building of systems automation and provisioning frameworks for singular application and environments.
  • Participates in supporting code, configuration management, release branches using CI/CD tools.
  • Participate in the collaboration with development teams to discuss, analyze, or resolve application issues or to assist with engineering projects.
  • Support engineering and operations teams to meet infrastructure needs for singular applications and environments.
  • Understand & executes techniques for effective comparative testing & Benchmarking.
  • Analyze and identify performance bottlenecks quality.
  • Problem Solving & Analysis Recommend solutions based on established best practices.
  • Use logic and analytical thinking to solves problems.
  • Work is more variable at this level; as such must consider multiple options to solve problems.
  • Decision Making / Autonomy Make tactical decisions that are driven by the priorities of the project and that fall within defined procedures.
  • Nearly self-sufficient and capable of working with limited supervision.
  • Issue not defined by best practices are escalated to manager supervision.
  • Communications / Interactions Communicate with Management on status issues and decisions.
  • Facilitate discussions for the project with the project team.
  • Create and deliver presentations and communication to Management and external partners.
  • Provide support to less experienced team members.
  • Responsible for dashboard creation with team’s assistance.
  • All other duties as assigned.
