Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Business Analyst to support large child welfare system modernization projects. The role translates program, policy, and stakeholder needs into clear requirements, process docs, and functional specs.

You'll work with client leadership, program staff, technical teams, vendors, and PMO resources to validate workflows and ensure alignment with federal/state requirements. Responsibilities include eliciting and documenting requirements, facilitating workshops, creating use cases

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or four years of relevant analysis experience.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in business analysis.
• Experience documenting requirements, use cases, and functional specs.
• Knowledge of CCWIS or child welfare preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work in deadline-driven, cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver consulting project activities for various projects.
• Analyze complex data to identify patterns and actions.
• Coordinate with technical staff to understand requirements.
• Document current and future state business processes.
• Support traceability between objectives and system design.
• Facilitate requirements sessions with stakeholders.
• Prepare client-ready documentation and status updates.
• Assist with data conversion and testing activities.
