Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in business, public administration or accounting and considerable experience in budget analysis and financial management.
• Masters degree in related field desirable.
• Pre-employment background check, and physical required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the collection and analysis of departmental budget requests, preparing such requests with recommendations to the City Manager.
• Plan, direct, and supervise the preparation and administration of the annual budget process and fulfill annual budget responsibilities specified in the city charter.
• Plan, direct, and supervise the preparation of the five-year Capital Improvement Plan.
• Directs the development and publication of the annual budget and capital improvement plan documents.
• Coordinate the collection and analysis of data concerning departmental performance measures.
• Facilitate the development of performance indicators for all departments.
• Assist departments in the development of process improvement plans utilizing the performance management software and data.
• Develop monthly performance measurement reports, charts, and graphs in the form of departmental performance dashboards.
