Job summary

The City of Bristol Tennessee is seeking an experienced Budget Manager to provide strategic leadership for the City’s budgeting, capital improvement planning, and forecasting. The Budget Manager will collaborate with senior leadership and department directors to evaluate financial needs and translate data into clear recommendations.

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration with concentration in Accountancy is required, with seven years of budgeting and financial analysis

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration with concentration in Accountancy.
• 7+ years' experience in budgeting, financial and performance analysis in municipality or related field.
• 3+ years in complex budget development, financial forecasting, capital planning, and program evaluation.
• Master's Degree or professional credentials preferred; Tennessee municipal finance knowledge a plus.

• Oversee the City's budgeting, capital improvement planning, and forecasting processes.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and department directors to evaluate financial needs and translate data into recommendations.
• Monitor and guide annual operating and capital budgets to align with best practices and priorities.
