Job summary

The Administrative Office of the Courts in Olympia, Washington, seeks a Budget Analyst to lead biennial and supplemental operating budgets for the Washington State Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, Administrative Office of the Courts, Office of Public Defense, and Office of Civil and Legal Aid. You will ensure sound financial stewardship across the statewide court system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, or closely related field.
• Four or more years of progressively responsible finance and/or budgeting experience for government entities or similar organizations.
• Ability to develop clear, logical plans and strategies by integrating ideas, information, and stakeholder input.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, review, submission, and monitoring of biennial and supplemental operating budgets for Washington’s judicial branch.
• Design grant development strategies, research funding opportunities, and craft statewide policies to strengthen grant pursuit and management.
• Collaborate with AOC management, OFM, and legislative staff to interpret funding requirements and establish agency-wide standards.
