Job summary

California State University, Long Beach is seeking a Director of URD Budget and Fiscal Operations to lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the URD and Long Beach State Foundation. The role includes oversight of reporting, compliance, and internal controls, and requires close collaboration with the AVP and senior leadership.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in budget administration within a large university, with staff supervision and cross-functional cooperation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and five years of progressively responsible experience in budget administration or financial management.
• Experience supervising staff and leading cross-functional teams is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of university fiscal policies and reporting standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee division-wide fiscal operations, budgeting, reporting, and internal controls.
• Lead planning, development, and monitoring of URD and Foundation budgets and forecasts.
• Partner with HR on salary forecasting and staffing budget development.
• Coordinate with procurement, central budget, and finance offices for compliance.
