Job summary

The role supports the Office of Planning, Budget & Personnel and interacts with Budget Office, Purchasing, HR, and other fiscal offices.

An emphasis on reviewing transactions, ensuring compliance with City policies, and maintaining financial controls across operating, grant, and capital funds.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of financial analysis, budgeting, revenue analysis, and forecasting.
• Must complete basic municipal finance, budgeting, and revenue analysis courses.
• Ability to work with diverse identities, cultures, backgrounds, and ideologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and review of the work performed by fiscal staff to ensure accuracy and policy compliance.
• Review and monitor payment processes, invoices, and fiscal transactions for timeliness.
• Supervise accounting staff workflow and coordinate with departments for accurate transactions.
• Oversee departmental cash management and internal controls.
• Develop and maintain internal procedures and working documentation.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, budget transfer requests, and expenditure analyses.
