Job summary

The Chronicle of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking a financial analyst to provide unit-level financial insight and transactional support within IU Bloomington's Office of Finance, Administration and Budget.

You will analyze financial data, reconcile accounts, and help ensure compliance with IU and IUF policies. Responsibilities include preparing analyses, explaining variances, and delivering data-driven guidance to unit leaders for resource allocation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field is required.
• 1 year in finance, financial administration, accounting, or related field is required.
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data; strong communication and organization are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic fiscal analysis of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses comparing current activity to budget and prior years.
• Explain financial concepts to non-financial staff and synthesize data into clear narratives.
• Review transactions for policy compliance and assist with general financial transactions in KFS.
• Draft policy/process documentation and provide training as needed.
