Job summary

NC State University’s Poole College of Management seeks a Budget Analyst to provide budget and financial support to the OBS. Reporting to the Finance Officer, you will develop budgets, monitor expenditures, and generate reports to guide fiscal decisions across academic and administrative units.

You will collaborate with college leadership and central offices to ensure policy compliance and accountable stewardship of resources, while supporting continuous improvement in processes.

Qualifications

• Experience budgeting, financial analysis, or accounting.
• Proficiency with Excel and financial reporting.
• Ability to interpret policies and provide actionable guidance.

Responsibilities

• Budget development and monitoring of operating, personnel, and departmental budgets.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc budget and financial reports for college leadership.
• Advise departments on funding options and financial implications of transactions.
• Develop and maintain budget tracking tools and standard financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with university policies and funding requirements.
