Job summary

Koniag Professional Services, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, seeks a Budget Analyst (Mid) with a TS/SCI clearance to support the AI2 office at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. You will manage and interpret portfolio-based financial management, assist cost assessments, and provide recommendations to senior Government personnel.

The role emphasizes budget execution analysis, policy interpretation, and developing financial oversight mechanisms for capabilities portfolios.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Department of War programs.
• Experience supporting Government CORs.
• Knowledge of federal acquisition policies and AI acquisitions.
• Experience preparing acquisition cost reports for regulatory agencies and oversight bodies.
• Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to uphold a strict level of discretion and confidentiality.
• Advanced MS Word and PowerPoint skills; proficient MS Teams, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Analyses federal acquisition policies, regulations, directives, and guidelines related to data, C2, digital, and AI acquisitions; ensures compliance.
• Interprets and applies acquisition policies to inform decision-making, procurement strategies, and contract actions.
• Identify potential tradeoffs within and among programs and provide executive resource alternatives.
• Review program costs as the basis of recommendations to Government personnel.
• Evaluate portfolio budget execution and determine if resources align with goals.
• Draft Joint Acquisition Program Objective Memorandum (POM) for Government review.
• Support CAPE office information requests; draft Capability Needs Statements and cost estimates.
• Stay updated on budgetary changes in acquisition laws and best practices.
• Assist preparation of acquisition cost-related reports and documentation for regulatory bodies.
• Identify contract execution risks and recommend corrective actions.
