Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) seeks a Budget & Acquisition Analyst to support budgeting and acquisition processes for government clients. You will analyze programs, develop budgets, and coordinate with senior managers to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

Required clearance and ability to work on-site in Chantilly, VA. The role demands strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and effective collaboration across divisions to deliver results.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship with TS/SCI + Poly clearance at date of application.
• BA/BS degree (or higher) in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or related field.
• 4+ years of related work experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Knowledge of Federal Appropriations Law and budgetary principles.
• Acquisition management regulations, practices, and AB development.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to report to Chantilly, VA on-site as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform budgeting work with government procurement agencies.
• Define proposals (RFQ) and qualify vendors.
• Develop and execute strategies supporting budgeting and acquisition processes.
• Analyze initiatives to meet mission requirements.
• Conduct requirements analysis for labor, equipment, and facilities.
• Collaborate with senior managers to develop the organization's budget.
• Create objective, integrated methodologies for resource allocation and budget execution.
• Perform cost-benefit analyses to review financial requests.
• Monitor and report performance against plans to meet objectives.
• Ensure compliance with financial and acquisition regulations and procedures.
• Identify tradeoffs across programs and provide resource options.
• Maintain budget tracks at multiple levels and review agency data.
