Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. in Goleta, CA is seeking a senior Business Unit Controller to lead all site finance activities for PDT.

You will drive standard costing, cost accounting, inventory valuation, and profitability for aerospace/defense programs while partnering with the Business Manager and leadership team. The role requires deep financial acumen, hands-on execution, and a track record of improving cash flow and performance in a decentralized environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive financial leadership within manufacturing.
• Experience as a Business Controller, Plant Controller, or senior FP&A leader.
• Decentralized, high-accountability business experience.
• Knowledge of DoD cost structures and compliance (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary financial advisor to the Business Manager and leadership team.
• Own standard costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation, and cost accounting.
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to improve productivity and material efficiency.
• Lead working capital improvements and program costing accuracy.
