Job summary

ERM seeks a Managing Consultant, Health & Safety (Biosafety Focus) in Ewing, NJ. You will lead biosafety programs in high‑risk labs, build risk management systems, and partner with senior leaders to advance governance and safety culture while maintaining client delivery excellence.

With 4+ years in EHS and experience in biosafety leadership, you will help design policies, conduct audits, mentor staff, and drive strategic safety initiatives across complex environments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant EHS experience with biosafety leadership in BSL-1/BSL-2 labs
• Experience with BSL-3 oversight, commissioning, or governance preferred
• Experience on Institutional Biosafety Committees (IBCs) or governance familiarity
• 2+ years in consulting or client-facing roles preferred
• Strong communication and influencing skills
• Travel willingness up to 70% and sponsorship not available

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic biosafety leadership across complex laboratory environments
• Design integrated biosafety and Health & Safety systems aligned to business goals
• Partner with senior stakeholders to strengthen governance, compliance, and risk management
• Lead program implementation, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Build organizational capability through training, coaching, and culture development
• Drive project delivery excellence while expanding client relationships and contributing to ERM’s growth
