Job summary

Okaloosa County in Crestview, FL is seeking a dedicated Benefits Administrator to oversee employee and retiree benefits, wellness programs, and related enrollment activities.

You will reconcile enrollment and billing, guide employees on plan options, manage COBRA, and support budget processes while maintaining records and responding to inquiries. An Associate’s Degree and 3+ years in benefits are required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree with a minimum of three years of experience in employee benefits, focusing on health, life and dental claims and IRS Section 125 plans.
• Experience with health, life and dental benefits and IRS Section 125 plans.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required; Access is preferred.
• Valid driver license required.

Responsibilities

• Administers employee and retiree benefits and wellness programs; provides operational support to Risk Management.
• Reconciles and authorizes monthly enrollment and billing reports to ensure correct payments to vendors.
• Informs employees of benefits options including pre-tax deductions and HSA/FSAs.
• Manages open enrollment and eligibility verification; processes QLEs and claims issues.
• Prepares and manages the Health Program Budget and reviews Risk Management budgets.
• Maintains department website and filing system; performs other duties as assigned.
