Job summary

One Wagoner County is seeking an experienced HR Generalist - Benefits Specialist to lead benefits administration, including 401(k) and wellness programs, for employees. The role also supports employee relations and other HR tasks as needed.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in employee benefits, strong Excel reporting, and thorough knowledge of HR compliance and self-funded plans. Strong presentation and customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Manage and administer comprehensive employee benefit plans, 401(k) and wellness programs.
• Process benefit enrollment for new hires and family status changes, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Initiate and manage life insurance claims, STD claims, and Worker's Comp claims with carriers.
• Maintain and administer FMLA and Non-FMLA leave requests, ensuring compliance with federal and company policies.
• Must show confidence and be comfortable giving company and new hire presentations.
• Provide support in human resources as needed to reach departmental goals.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills to effectively interact with people inside and outside the company. Work under stress, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ Years’ experience working with employee benefits.
• Experience and knowledge of HR compliance laws, rules, and regulations as well as best practices.
• Experience with self-funded plans.
• Strong reporting and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent listening and follow-through skills.

Responsibilities

• The Benefits Specialist position is within the Human Resources department and is primarily responsible for all duties within benefits administration and management. Duties may also include employee relations and other HR tasks.
