Job summary

HUB International is seeking a Benefit Analyst to support Account Executives with quoting, reporting and strategic analytics. You will be integral to the Sales and Account Executive Teams, maintaining relationships with HUB clients and vendors while helping increase profitability through the proposal process.

In this role you’ll interpret census data, perform benchmarking, and contribute to strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years working for a carrier or brokerage firm.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office – intermediate to expert.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure with attention to detail.
• Team oriented, self-starter with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Detail oriented with sense of urgency.
• Understanding of benefits and benefit terminology.
• Proficient typing ability.
• Independent and able to handle enrollment changes accurately.

Responsibilities

• Develops and communicates strategy for RFPs, results and reports to carrier partners/vendors.
• Responsible for new and renewal submissions and implementation related to quoting.
• Project management for timely renewal process including quality, deadlines, workflow, communication and carrier coordination.
• Interprets client needs and makes recommendations on direction of RFP and contribution analysis.
• Quoting new and renewal groups.
• Understands markets and products to meet client needs.
• Examine benefits and claims data for inclusion in RFPs; organize bids and follow up on responses.
• Negotiate with carriers throughout the RFP process.
• Assist Account Executives with benchmarking, strategic planning and reporting duties.
• Conduct claims analysis and contribution modeling.
• Interpret census data for accuracy.
• Communicate with AEs and Producers on marketing activity.
• Review bids for compliance and maintain client databases.
• Create/update templates for strategy and marketing processes.
• Maintain client access to external portals.
• Provide training as SME to team members.
• Manage client-related service issues and coordinate with carriers.
• Attend carrier meetings, trainings; stay updated on products.
