Job summary

North Texas Tollway Authority seeks a Benefits Analyst to administer NTTA’s benefit programs, resolve complex employee and vendor issues, and analyze plan data. The role supports process improvements, audits, and Workday configurations to ensure accurate, consistent service.

The analyst will coordinate Open Enrollment, engage with vendors, and maintain SOPs to strengthen efficiency and controls within the benefits function.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing benefits, retirement, leave, ADA, and workers’ compensation.
• Experience testing benefit systems, workflows, and data; documenting discrepancies and coordinating resolution.
• Knowledge of benefit and retirement plan administration and compliance.
• Knowledge of plan design, eligibility, enrollment, claims, vendors, and leave administration.
• Familiarity with NTTA policies and effective customer service practices.
• Ability to explain complex benefits and leave matters clearly, with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Administers medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement benefits; processes enrollments, eligibility changes, and payroll deductions.
• Resolves escalated enrollment, eligibility, coverage, claims, and payroll issues with employees, vendors, HRIS, and internal partners.
• Manages leave, ADA, and workers’ compensation cases, coordinating documentation and return-to-work activities.
• Oversees NTTA’s 401(k), 457, and pension programs, including processing and reporting.
• Supports retirement plan governance through committee minutes and required reporting.
• Reconciles and audits benefit invoices, eligibility, payroll deductions, and vendor payments; coordinates corrections.
• Supports benefit strategy and vendor management through meetings and evaluations.
• Analyzes benefit costs, utilization, benchmarks, compliance, and vendor performance to identify improvements.
• Coordinates Open Enrollment, employee communications, benefits fairs, wellness events, and vendor visits.
• Supports Workday benefit configurations, interfaces, integrations, and reporting; tests workflows and data accuracy.
