Job summary

Lockton Companies is seeking a Benefits Specialist to support client benefit programs, manage open enrollment, and ensure accurate HRIS data. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to keep plans running smoothly and in compliance with ERISA and related laws.

The role requires extensive experience in benefits administration, strong HRIS knowledge, and ability to handle multiple plans and vendors efficiently.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of professional experience in benefits administration.
• Strong knowledge of HRIS/benefits administration systems.
• Good understanding of Healthcare Reform.
• Familiarity with carrier administration systems and plan guidelines.
• Knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, ACA and related filings.

Responsibilities

• Administers various benefits plans for clients including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision and retirement plans.
• Answers questions and provides information regarding benefits programs, policies, and procedures.
• Processes and audits vendor bills and prepares for payment.
• Coordinates annual open enrollment activities and oversees materials.
• Maintains benefit records and accurate data entry in HRIS; supports plan administration.
