Job summary

SDV Construction seeks a high-performing Business Development Manager to expand our presence across New Mexico and the Southwest. This role focuses on qualifying opportunities, building executive relationships, and guiding pursuits from market engagement to contract award.

You will work with leadership and cross-functional teams to align strategy, pricing, and delivery plans, driving measurable growth and long-term client partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent building experience.
• Demonstrated success initiating and closing commercial construction opportunities.
• In-depth knowledge of the full construction lifecycle and contract delivery strategies.
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to support strategy using data and market intelligence.
• Experience operating within CRM platforms and structured reporting systems.
• Ability to collaborate across executive, estimating, and operations teams.
• Willingness to travel regionally throughout New Mexico and surrounding states.

Responsibilities

• Own the opportunity lifecycle from first market engagement through contract award.
• Lead disciplined go/no-go evaluations with risk, competitiveness, and margin analysis.
• Design win strategies and pursuit plans tailored to each opportunity.
• Coordinate with estimating and operations to ensure executable, profitable pursuits.
• Maintain complete visibility of pursuits and CRM activity for ROI and revenue forecasting.
• Build and sustain relationships with owners, developers, and public agencies.
