Job summary

Plona Partners is seeking a strategic Business Development Manager for Corporate & Financial Institutions to drive BD strategy across corporate, tax, and financial services groups. You will partner with practice leaders and the broader BD team to grow revenue and market profile.

The role reports to the Assistant Director of Business Development, Corporate, and requires collaboration with attorneys to implement BD initiatives, pitches, and proposals, while coordinating with marketing and PR teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field required or strongly preferred.
• MBA or JD is a plus.
• Minimum of three years of professional-services marketing and business development experience.
• Prior law firm experience is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated track record of success in marketing and business development.
• Strong understanding of practice-group and attorney business development within a professional-services environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic BD plans for assigned practice and industry groups.
• Coordinate fiscal-year plans, goals, and BD initiatives.
• Manage implementation and measurement of plans and budgets.
• Prepare client pitches, responses to RFPs, and market materials.
• Lead cross-practice and regional BD initiatives with partners and leadership.
• Monitor market opportunities and provide timely client intelligence.
• Collaborate with Events, PR, and Digital Marketing teams on campaigns and programs.
• Coach and develop junior BD specialists and attorneys on BD practices.
